Whether you are a young child entering kindergarten, a youth about to leave high school or an adult looking for education opportunities, we have programs and supports in place to help you on your journey.
Keeping our traditional language alive is critical to the educational success of our young people. We are proud to offer a language program that brings Elders and youth together, and creates language-learning tools, such as books, which can be passed on to future generations.
We are currently looking at online virtual options.
This program aims to develop and refine reading skills for all ages and all abilities.
We are currently looking at options to develop an online reading program. Please check back here for updates in the near future.
The Education department supplies additional funding to help students from K-12 access school supplies and school trips for the students who reside on the reserve.
Youth camps and college campus trips are taken using money applied for our youth to take part in this from FNESC and NRT, however please note that due to Covid-19, all trips are currently on hold until it is safe to travel. Please check back here for updates.
Quatsino First Nation has developed relationships with several post-secondary institutions, including NIC, VIU, UVIC and mainland universities. We are also knowledgeable about adult training and re-training programs that may be available.
